It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucy Wairimu Thorpe which occurred on September 6, 2014 at Fort Belvoir Hospital in Fairfax, Virginia. In August of 2009, while living in Okinawa, Japan, Lucy wasdiagnosed with advanced Colon Cancer, she was 34 years old.
