Capital Talk’s Jeff Koinange is leaving K24 for a stint in South Africa.

Koinange who is the host of the station’s talk-show, “Capital Talk” is leaving to take up an anchor role at Arise Television Network in South Africa. The station which is new is looking to broadcast live news and information on Africa to viewers in major cities of the world.

Arise Television Network is a venture by THISDAY and is set to rival CNN, Aljazeera and SKY News. The network is expected to reach over 200 million people. It is an off-shoot of Arise Magazine, also a subsidiary of THISDAY.

The network has it’s operation license in London  and will broadcast live in New Delhi, Johannesburg, Beijing, New York, Lagos and a host of other capital cities of the world,”

Jeff’s career also includes a span with CNN, Reuters Television, NBC where he worked as 1994 as well as ABC News.

Earlier on, there were rumors circulating that he had been offered Sh80 million to leave MedIamax’s K24.
