Rosemary Odinga not in the running for Kibra parliamentary seat

Rosemary Odinga is out of the running for the Kibra Parliamentary seat in the upcoming August polls.

Rosemary who is opposition leader Raila Odinga’s daughter has not made an official announcement but her name was missing from the list of aspirants vying for the ODM nod.

The list of of ODM aspirants for nomination slots was published on Wednesday.

Ms Odinga was in late February admitted to a Nairobi hospital before being flown to South Africa for further treatment.

She underwent surgery to remove a brain tumor.

Last week, Ruth Odinga, as sister to Mr Odinga pulled out of the governor’s race but left the door wide open to being a running mate.

Her exit left the field to Governor Jack Ranguma, Senator Anyang’ Nyong’o, businessman Hezron Mc’Obewa and Gordon Wayumba to compete for the ODM ticket.
