Bishop Margaret Wanjiru over the weekend attended the wedding of her US based daughter in Atlanta, Georgia.
Her daughter Purity Kariuki and the groom Michael Litunda tied the knot at a colorful private garden ceremony on Saturday, which was attended by very close family and friends.

Kenyan musician Mercy Myra performed at the ceremony for the bride and was unveiled as a surprise gift from the groom.
Addressing guests at the wedding, Bishop Wanjiru expressed her gratitude to those in attendance and welcomed the groom’s family with open arms.
She said that she has raised her family to love and appreciate everyone no matter what tribe or part of the world they come from.

Alluding to the fact that the groom is from the Luhya community, she noted that her family is very intercultural. She told the guests that her first son Steven Kariuki married a woman from the rabai tribe while her second son, Evans Kariuki has an African-American wife.
She encouraged the young Kenyans in the diaspora to raise their children the same way and support each other and put God first in their lives.
