Kenyan activist and political aspirant Boniface Mwangi will beginning this weekend embark on a book tour plying through several US cities.
Mr Mwangi who is vying for the Starehe constituency parliamentary seat in the upcoming August general elections will be in the US through the month of April.
The activist will begin his book tour in Atlanta on Saturday, 15th April before heading to Alabama on Sunday April 16. He is the scheduled to visit Boston (April 22), Houston (April 28), Dallas on April 29 before heading to Seattle on 30th April.
Mwangi who was in US in January had left his family behind after complaining about unspecified death threats from Kenya.
In a long Facebook post before leaving for Kenya, he said that he had been warned not to go back to Kenya as there were people waiting to kill him.
“My life has been haunted by all kinds of threats. Some close friends know about the intimidation that I receive, but I have always been reluctant to go public about them. I did not want to ever be the boy who cried wolf.”
Upon his return to Kenya, he recorded a statement at the Central Police Station while accompanied by former Supreme Court Justice Willie Mutunga.
