Sakata Media, a Kenyan content provider, has partnered with a US company, Vuclip, to distribute videos and other content through mobile phones. A Nairobi motorist is delighted after a car tracking system helped him locate his stolen vehicle on Friday, barely three hours after it went missing in Zimmerman. Mr George Kamande, using a tracking system that can remotely switch off a car’s engine and with assistance from Kasarani police, got back his Toyota Fielder at a yard near Kahawa West before those who stole it could tamper with it. Central Bank of Kenya governor Patrick Njoroge on Tuesday led his first Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting into increasing the benchmark Kenya Banks’ Reference Rate (KBRR), setting borrowers on the path to paying higher cost of loans. The shilling weakened on Monday to a fresh three-and-a-half year low, data showed, hitting the 100 level against the dollar for the first time since October 2011.
