Former Dallas attorney Susan Kihika romps to victory in Nakuru Jubilee senate race

A former Dallas, Texas attorney and Nakuru County Speaker Susan Kihika has beaten Karanja Kabage to win the Nakuru Jubilee nomination for the Senate seat in Nakuru County.

Susan Kihika who is a daughter of the late long-time Nakuru politician Kihika Kimani, garnering 192,596 to Kabage’s 30,916 votes.

The two aspirants queued with residents as they cast their votes in a show of humility.

Susan Kihika left Kenya for the in 1993 after completing her high school education at Bishop Gatimu Ngandu Girls in Nyeri County.

She holds a Political Science and Government Degree from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas.

She also did a Jurist Doctorate Law Degree from the Southern Methodist University in Dallas.

Ms Kihika started her legal career as a US prosecutor for the state of Texas attached to the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office.

As a Chief Prosecutor she has prosecuted thousands of criminal cases through jury and bench trials as well as making plea bargains.

Ms Kihika founded her law firm, The Kihika Law Firm in Dallas with a specialize focus on Immigration Defense, litigating complex deportation cases against the USA federal government and criminal defense.
