A Kenyan man who has been in a New Jersey medical facility for over two years and had not received a single visitor for the entire period has a reason to smile…..or at least we think so. (Read: Kenyan admitted at a New Jersey Post Acute Care facility has not seen a visitor for two years)

Bernard Mumo was reunited with one of his nephews at the Atrium Post Acute Care of Wayneview where he has been recuperating for the last couple of years.

Mumo was admitted at the facility after an accident that eventually led to memory loss.

As the two hugged, Mr Mumo remained expressionless apparently not really recognizing him.

His family in Kenya was notified of his current situation. His family lives in Kajiado.

He has not been in contact with his Kenyan family for an extended period of time. It is said to be about 50 years since he last saw them.

Mumo operated as a photographer in the New York/New Jersey are in the 1980’s and 90s.
