A Kenyan couple was found dead inside their home in Jersey City, New Jersey in what is believed to be a case of murder suicide.

Mrs Okongo’s body was found in the first floor of the house with several gunshot wounds in the head and torso. Mr Okongo’s body was discovered in the basement with a gunshot wound to his head.

In 2013, one of Mr Okongo’s Laundromats was facing closure after his lease expired and he fell behind on rent but residents rallied around him for support.
